Paper Log Maker
A paper log maker is not only a great way to do your bit towards being more eco-friendly it’s more importantly to some (me included) a great way to save yourself some extra money, especially at the moment when for many people money is tight.
There are quite a few paper log makers on the market and in the end they all do basically the same thing but some are like anything, better than others. A paper log maker takes your old waste paper, be it newspapers, letters, leaflets, junk mail, and so on and turn it into logs that you can now burn on your open fire. Some of the better paper log makers will also allow you to re-cycle wood chippings, cardboard, twigs, leaves, teabags, wrapping paper and more of your burnable household waste for fuel and will give you longer burning logs and will also make them quicker and with less messing about.
Unlike just throwing old newspapers onto the fire a paper log maker will burn anywhere from about 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the materials used to make the log and will leave just a small amount of ash. So why pay out large amounts of money for wood logs when you can do this for free with a paper log maker. We all know that wood logs are not cheap so not only will you be saving money this way you also do your little bit in helping the environment by helping to conserve trees.
Paper Log Maker – Differences
So these are some of the great things about using a paper log maker but like everything not every paper log maker is the same. With some models you will have to soak the materials you will be burning in water overnight. When they have had a good soaking then you have to squeeze the excess water out of the log using the log maker machine. Once this is done then this may be obvious but you have to let the logs dry before trying to burn them. Other models do not require soaking in water so the process of making paper logs is faster.
This is really the only major disadvantage with some models and it may seem minor but when you take into consideration that you may have to squeeze the water from many logs depending on what paper log maker you choose then this will add more time to the process and can be quite tedious work.
